We’re taking the theme of our show Private Fears in Public Places, to heart. Although it’s a comedy, Ayckbourn’s play depicts people with real-life problems: a group of six characters who struggle to make human connections, with their social circle confined to immediate family and the odd work relationship. Recognizing that a lot of us have trouble getting out and meeting people (doubly so since the pandemic), we’re seeking out businesses and organizations that offer meaningful, face-to-face social contact.

Ottawa School of Theatre is Ottawa’s longest running theatre school. We offer excellence in theatre education in both English and French, with classes for students of all ages—whether you’re five or 105! We have a variety of classes for adults ranging in skill levels from those trying acting for the very first time, to those looking to up their stage performance skills, to those ready to write and perform their own comedy material. This upcoming season we have two new exciting classes—Adult Musical Theatre and Storytelling for Adults, alongside our popular Adult Acting Foundations and Adult Stage Performance classes.
